Our quantum fish research featured by Phys.org

Our recent Physical Review Letters paper on upstream motion in a superfluid of light has been featured by Phys.org. The article explores how a mobile optical obstacle can move against the flow by harnessing the vortices it creates.

The work, carried out with colleagues from Sorbonne University, the University of Porto, Côte d’Azur University, and Paris-Saclay University, connects quantum hydrodynamics with self-propulsion in classical fluids and active matter.
